The Polytechnic School at University of São Paulo, and the IBERSENSOR Permanent Committee are pleased to invite researchers, students and professionals who work in the sensors and biosensors fields to participate on the 6th Ibero-American Congress on Sensors, IBERSENSOR 2008, which will take place at São Paulo, Brazil, Morumbi Blue Tree Towers Convention Center, November 24th - 26 th, 2008.

IBERSENSOR is a forum of the Spanish and Portuguese speaking scientific community, working in the fields of development of sensors of every kind and their applications. This conference series has already been successfully carried out in five occasions: the first edition took place at Havanna, Cuba in 1998, the second at Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2000, the third at Lima, Peru in 2002, the fourth was at Puebla, Mexico in 2004, while the fifth was at Montevideo, Uruguay in 2006. Steady progress and growth of these meetings has contributed to unleash the potential of our community countries in this field, which constitutes one of the most significant and fast developing branches of the scientific and technical tasks on a worldwide scale.

An exhibition dedicated to Instrumentation and Sensor Industries will take place in a contiguous room during the congress.

Invited conferences and accepted contributions on original research works shall cover (non-exclusively) the following fields of interest:

Chemical-, mechanical-, optical-, electrical-, magnetic-, thermal-, optical-, ultrasonic sensors

 Nanosensors

 Intelligent Sensors & Wireless networks

 Microfluidics and  MicroAnalysis Devices

 Sensor Microsystems

Materials, fabrication & packaging techniques for sensors

 Sensor signal conditioning and Instrumentation

Applied signal-and image processing for sensors

 MEMS and actuators

 MicroPower Generation

 Environmental applications

Medical & point of care applications

 Industrial applications

 Agro-industrial and food industry applications

 Biological and biomedical applications
